I'm at a point in my skincare routine where I feel like I need to target certain areas/concerns rather than use something generic for my whole face. So, over the past few months, I've been trying out products, I've been eliminating products, and I've re-visited things I used to really enjoy but forgot about since I wasn't using them.
At the moment, this is what I am using for my skin:
For moisturizer, I've been using this moisturizer from Simple skincare in the mornings. I stopped using SPF moisturizers for a while and really noticed how my skin needed the SPF so I've been trying this one out and I really like how lightweight and hydrating it is. In the night time, I'll alternate between the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet from The Body Shop for days when my skin is very irritated and bloaty since the gel creates a tingly and cooling sensation, or the Hydra Vital Cream from L'Occitane on my regular nights since it keeps my skin hydrated all night long.
I'm the type of person who NEEDS a toner and I've tried my fair share of them from The Body Shop (they stock most of the skincare I love). At the moment I'm using the Moisture White Shiso Moisturising Essence which is basic but works like a charm.
For a long time I was using a Korean eye cream but once I ran out of that, I didn't want to splurge on another eye cream since we all know how pricey they can get. This is where I say, thank goodness for markdown stores where I got a $40 eyecream from Jeffery James for $10.
My face masks are extensive and range from super hydration to deep cleaning but I thought I'd share the two that I have been using the most. For a deep clean, I've been using the Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox mask and for overnight hydration, I've been applying the Bird's Nest Mask (which I've loved for years) from My Beauty Diary.
Have you guys tried any of these out? Anything you're particularly curious about?
Cheers!
Nancy
