Who here wants to get that #InstagramReady filtered skin look? Me! Now, of course, you can't believe everything you see on social media, and a lot of the time perfect looking skin has to do with good skincare, makeup, and of course, those filters. The Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother is essentially the physical product that will give you that perfect skin look.
I received the Shiseido Ibuki Survival Kit complimentary from Influenster to test out four products from Shiseido: The Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother, Ibuki Beauty Sleeping Mask, Ibuki Quick Fix Mist, and Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate.
IBUKI BEAUTY SLEEPING MASK
This is an overnight skin treatment featuring vitamin capsules that melt into the skin that leaves you with a glowing and radiant complexion when you wake up. What I liked about this mask was how it had a gel-like consistency, and wasn't sticky after applying it on my face. Some overnight treatments are incredibly oily, or extremely sticky, but the Ibuki Beauty Sleeping Mask felt lightweight and watery. It claims to be a solution for dryness, dullness/uneven skintone and texture, however, I was only able to get about two uses out of my sample, so I can't vouch much for the latter. I can say however, it was extremely hydrating and my skin felt plump and bright after waking up.
IBUKI QUICK FIX MIST
The Ibuki Quick Fix Mist is a gel mist that refreshes the skin, corrects shine, and adds hydration. I found this product to be interesting however, when I see the word "mist", I expect a fine mist. I found that this product was more of a "spray", which is fine, but it also means some areas on your face will receive more product than others. Because of the "spray", I also can't really say my face felt refreshed because it just didn't give me that gratifying fresh faced feeling. I do think the product is nice however, I think I'm going to be using it more as a skin toner than a quick daily refresher.
ULTIMUNE POWER INFUSING CONCENTRATE
This is a serum that is packed full of ingredients that your skin will thank you for. It contains rose water and yeast extract to protect and strengthen the skin against daily damage and signs of aging, while various other ingredients maintain a healthy skin surface and protects against impurities. I really enjoyed this serum, and it has been a part of my nighttime skincare routine since I've received it. The serum feels lightweight and watery, very similar to the overnight mask, but since I've been using it, my skin has felt softer and more hydrated. It's a great overall serum for all skin types in my opinion.IBUKI SMART FILTERING SMOOTHER
Now we have the star of the show, the Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother. This is a new formula that acts like a filter, reducing the appearance of pores by absorbing oils and leaving the skin with a fresh, smooth, and matte look. Essentially, it's a 911 product that blurs away shine and imperfections. I have to admit, when I first saw the product, I was so confused by what it was. Is it a serum...? It is a primer...? Neither. I like to think of it as a liquid blotting powder. I've used it before my makeup to reduce shine, after my makeup as an overall mattifier, and throughout the day for similar results. It's comes in small bottle however, as it's not a daily use product, I think it'll last a long time too.
All of these products are available on at Sephora if you are interested in trying any of them out. My personal favourite was the Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate - it's something I can definitely see myself purchasing in the full size.
xoxo,
Nancy
