It's officially summer! Time to bust out the shorts, sandals, and of course, the sunscreen. This year, I'm making a conscious effort to wear sunscreen every day, and I know that you really should be wearing sunscreen every single day of the year (not just in the summer time), but I figured hey, summer time - sun - best time to get into the habit.
This year, I've been wearing a sunscreen from Garnier's Ombrelle line - the Ultra Light Advanced Tinted Mineral Sunscreen with SPF 60. It comes in a 50 mL bottle with a twist-on cap and small nozzle for the product to come out of. As for the sunscreen's other details and features:
- Non-comedogenic
- Water resistant for 80 minutes
- Fragrance free
- Hypoallergenic
I love how this sunscreen is lightweight and virtually just sinks into my skin after applying it. I've had issues with face sunscreens being greasy after application, but this one does no such thing! After my foundation primer, I'll apply about four dots around my face, and rub it into my skin with any excess going towards my neck.
I like how the sunscreen is tinted, although I do have to say it is a little grey, but I always wear foundation above the sunscreen so it's not an issue for me. However, it does oxidize after a couple minutes so if you were to wear this alone, you should be fine. I'm not too sure how it will fair with darker skintones though, since the tint is quite light.
One more thing I'd like to mention is that it is extremely runny. The first time I used this, it basically spilled out of the bottle and I got the entire thing dirty. I have however, mastered the trick of squeezing the product out (aka, don't squeeze, just tilt). Since it's quite runny, it will tend to separate, so you will have to shake it up before each use.
Overall, I'm looking forward to continually using this sunscreen throughout the summer (and hopefully after that!). Definitely will be bringing it with me on vacation this year too. Hope you found this little review useful, and let me know if you have any additional questions or comments!
