Today I want to share with you some recent additions into my skincare routine. While we all know that I've been using The Ordinary products from Deciem, they were kind enough to send me a few products from the Hylamide range. This range offers a selection of multi-depth products, mostly with their own individual functions, designed for specific skin concerns or daily use. The technology behind the Hylamide line is quite extensive, but essentially they've worked it out to create a skincare range for every depth of your skin.
PORE DELETE
The Pore Delete ($19.00 CAD) is a part of Hylamide's Finisher series. It is a liquid primer that blurs pores, shine, and textural irregularities on the skin, and it can be used with or without makeup. The instructions state that if you are wearing no makeup, you should apply it as the last step of your skincare routine, but if you are wearing makeup, to apply it right after foundation before powder.Having tried a few types of finishers myself, I was curious to see how the Pore Delete performs, but I do have to say there is definitely a learning curve with this product. It definitely blurs the skin and my pores are pretty much invisible whenever I use this product, and a little goes a very long way.
Texture and finish wise, the Pore Delete feels a little like glue, even when it dries, so sometimes I've found that powder can stick to it if you apply it after foundation. While it definitely does what it claims to do, I think most people will have to play around with this to find the best way they like to use it. I haven't reached for this much, as I do have other finishers/touch-up products that are easier to use, although they don't work as well as the Pore Delete.
LOW-MOLECULAR HA
The Low-Molecular HA ($20.00) is a serum in the Booster series from Hylamide. It contains five forms of hyaluronic compounds, which work together to create a super-charged rehydration serum. The Low-Molecular HA helps with hydration, plumping the skin, and skin elasticity. After using this serum for the past few weeks, I can definitely say that this serum does all of that and more. Overall, it's a good serum for those who want to add more moisture into their skin. Even if you have oily skin, I think it's important to add moisture into it as much as possible, and this serum is so watery and lightweight that your pores won't feel clogged at all.GLOW
Also in the Booster series is the Glow ($32.00 CAD) serum, a DHA free self-tanner serum. It targets dullness, uneven skin tone, and lack-luster skin. I wouldn't say that this serum makes you look any more tanned, but what is does is actually quite incredible. The technology in this serum gives you a very natural glow, partly due to the fact that it evens out any discolouration on the skin and creates a slightly golden tone that looks very sunkissed even with no sun. This isn't the type of serum I would use for every day, but whenever my skin looks dull and could use a boost, I will add this serum to my morning and nighttime routines, and it makes a world of difference.HYDRA-DENSITY MIST
The Hydra-Density Mist ($18.00) is a multi-depth toner designed to help with water density and retention. The ingredients in this mist offer immediate and lasting oil-free hydration. It also soothes the skin to reduce signs and feelings of irritation, and reduces inflammation and redness. I found this mist to be very soothing and cooling for the skin, and I really enjoyed spritzing it on after my more sensitive toners such as glycolic acid and tea tree toners. I would definitely give this a try if you have sensitive or easily irritated skin, and even if you don't, the Hydra-Density Mist is just great as an overall refresher for the face.
Overall, I've enjoyed testing a few of the Hylamide products out. I highly recommend the Low-Molecular HA serum and the Hydra-Density Mist, especially now that the weather is getting colder in Canada. The Glow serum is a little more niche, although it definitely is nice to have. Lastly, the Pore Delete finisher works amazingly, but if you've never used a product like this before, I would probably go for something easier to control and use first.
What have you tried from Hylamide? I would LOVE to know, and of course, if you have any questions about the products in this post, please let me know down below!

Thanks so much for this great review! I hear a lot about The Ordinary but not much about the other lines. I really love the sounds of some of these, especially the two you recommend the most - the Low-Molecular HA and Hydra-Density Mist. They sound like they would work really well with my skin. Great post. :)
